About medsplainer
Amanda Angelotti, MD
One of my favorite* things in life is translating complicated medical concepts into understandable-yet-sophisticated content. I’ve been medsplaining things to my friends and family for years, and now it’s my job, too.
After earning my medical degree at UCSF, I worked at health tech companies (Robin Healthcare, One Medical, Iodine) on clinical product development and content. In these roles, I wrote for both clinicians and patients and designed products from the ground up. Prior to medical training, I worked in corporate communications and online privacy at Google following a couple of years in grassroots politics.
I specialize in clinical content strategy and am currently a content designer at Omada Health.
*Other faves: My daughters, sci-fi, whole milk, public transit, and live music.
Disclosure + disclaimer: I’m an MD, but I don’t see patients. My posts are no-bullshit health information, not medical advice. Oh, and my views are my own.
